The North Central Texas College (NCTC) Board of Regents is accepting letters of interest to fill a vacancy on the board. Board Chair Karla Metzler submitted her resignation Monday evening, and the vacant seat is expected to be filled by December 1, 2026.

NCTC’s annual Creativity Awards are now accepting submissions from students and community members in poetry, short fiction, creative nonfiction, and visual art. This year’s awards also feature artist and guest judge Dan Black, whose journey from spray-painting murals to exploring painting, sculpture, and installation art highlights the power of creativity, discovery, and connection.
