Sociology

Sociology is the study of human society, culture, social institutions, social change, and social interaction. Areas of study in this field include marriage and family, gender, race/ethnicity, aging, inequality, globalization, deviance, violence, social control, education, health care, religion, poverty, urbanization, and social movements. NCTC provides four courses in Sociology, varying by semester and campus. There is an Introduction to Sociology, Social Problems, Marriage and Family, and Minority Studies.
