Medal of Honor Host City Museum Now Open to the Public
The Medal of Honor Host City Museum is now officially open to the public, inviting visitors to explore a powerful tribute to American valor and sacrifice. Located at 1525 W. California Street on the North Central Texas College Gainesville campus, the museum is open 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
North Central Texas College Celebrates Spring 2025 Graduates
North Central Texas College (NCTC) honored its Spring 2025 graduates during a commencement ceremony held Friday, May 16, at the University of North Texas Coliseum in Denton.
2025 Creativity Awards Showcase at NCTC
The Creativity Awards at NCTC for the 2024-25 academic year were a monumental success! Each year, the call goes out to our collective community for sixth graders all the way up to adult, non-professional writers to submit their best work for consideration in our annual review, Sonder. This year, we received over 200 pieces of writing and art! After our dedicated jurors, who are all faculty volunteers from our English, Speech & Foreign Language, and Art departments, experienced them all, fifty-five were chosen for publication.
NCTC Board of Regents Welcomes Newest Appointee
The North Central Texas College Board of Regents met Monday and regents Christy Morris and Aaron Krebs were sworn in by Judge John Roane. Morris starts her third term with the college board and Krebs was elected in the May 3rd election. Both regents will serve terms that extend through 2031.
NCTC PTK Welcomes 2025 Inductees
North Central Texas College is proud to announce the Spring 2025 inductees into the Psi Iota Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges. These outstanding students have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and a strong commitment to excellence. Membership in Phi Theta Kappa is a prestigious honor recognizing the pillars of scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship.

2025 NCTC Foundation Starlite Gala
The North Central Texas College Foundation hosted its annual Starlite Gala on Saturday, March 29, 2025, celebrating the individuals and organizations whose generosity and dedication have strengthened NCTC and its surrounding communities. The evening honored donors, students, and community members who have played a vital role in the college’s continued success.
Community Invited to Medal of Honor Host City Museum Ribbon-Cutting
North Central Texas College and the Medal of Honor Host City Museum invite the community to celebrate its grand opening and ribbon cutting on April 10th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at its new location on the NCTC Gainesville Campus.
This special event will begin with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by come-and-go tours of the museum. The museum will showcase the rich history and inspiring stories of Medal of Honor recipients, with exhibits honoring their bravery and service.

NCTC Equine Instructor Shares Expertise at Prestigious Horsemanship Clinics in Germany
Ellen Black, an equine instructor at North Central Texas College (NCTC), recently had a unique opportunity to teach horsemanship at two summer clinics organized by the Deutsche Quarter Horse Association (DQHA) in Germany. Her invitation to teach came through her colleagues at Texas A&M University (TAMU), who invited her to join their team of clinicians abroad. "I was honored to be invited by the equine faculty at TAMU to be part of their expert team," Black shared. "It was a privilege to teach and connect with horse enthusiasts in Germany."

NCTC Partners with US Aviation Academy to Launch FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Maintenance Training Program
North Central Texas College (NCTC) is excited to announce a new partnership with US Aviation Academy to offer an FAA-approved Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) maintenance training program at the US Aviation Academy's Denton, Texas campus. This collaboration combines NCTC’s strong educational foundation with US Aviation Academy’s renowned expertise in aviation training to deliver a comprehensive pathway for students to earn both an associate degree and FAA certification.
North Central Texas College Receives Grant Award from Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
NCTC received funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) through a Commercial Motor Vehicle Operational Safety (CMVOST) grant for fiscal year 2024. The funding will expand the number of commercial driver’s license (CDL) holders who have enhanced operator safety training.

NCTC Student Success Center Receives CRLA Certification for Tutor Training
North Central Texas College is pleased to announce that the NCTC Student Success Center has been awarded certification as a Level I, II, and III certified tutor training program by the internationally recognized College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). This certification is effective from August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2028.
