How to Apply

Once all admission requirements are met including the submission of your graduation report/advising worksheet, you will be notified by the Admissions Office of your acceptance to NCTC. You will meet with your success coach/advisor and begin registering for general academic (non-nursing) courses if needed.

VNSG 1420 may be taken before admission to the program, but no later than the first semester after admission. BIOL 2401 and BIOL 2402 (Anatomy and Physiology I and II) may be substituted for VNSG 1420. Both semesters of Anatomy and Physiology must be taken for credit to be given.

Schedule, register, and pay for your TEAS test at the ATI/TEAS testing site then with the Testing Center on your campus. When creating your ATI account, you will be prompted to select the school you are enrolled in or plan to attend. There will be a drop down menu. You will need to enter the following criteria for those results to be sent to the selected program you wish to attend:

• North Central TX College PN TEAS for the LVN Program;
• North Central TX College ADN TEAS for the ADN Program;
• and North Central TX College Allied Health TEAS for the Radiology Program.

Prospective students are only allowed 3 TEAS attempts per calendar year and there is no waiting period between attempts. Scores must be a minimum of 58.7%. Must score a minimum of 50% in each subsection: Reading, Math, Science, and English and Language Usage. Only current scores from within the last two years from the date of application will be considered. However, this does not guarantee acceptance.

NCTC’s LVN Program will only accept the TEAS test taken in-person, not remotely

Register for the TEAS Test Schedule at the Testing Center

1. Login to the MyNCTC

2. Under Student Services, select Vocational Nursing (LVN).

3. Fill out the form and attach copies of your unofficial high school or college transcript and advising worksheet.

4. Once all sections are completed along with your TEAS scores (Individual Performance Profile) and eligible health care certifications*, submit the application. 

   • Health care certifications must be official, current, and not expired. Certifications eligible for consideration include: CMA, CNA, MA, SurgeTech, PharmTech, and EMT/Paramedic.

Application Deadlines

• LVN Program Spring Admission — August 1 - August 31

  • On-campus & Online Hybrid at the Gainesville Campus

• LVN Program Fall Admission — March 1 - March 31

  • On-campus at the Bowie, Corinth, Gainesville, and Graham Campuses

After all applications have been processed, notification of the program status will be sent via email according to the following schedule: 

• Spring Applicants: Notifications will be issued during the week of October 1.
• Fall Applicants: Notifications will be issued during the week of May 1.
