Philosophy investigates very dimension of human life. It is the pursuit of understanding the meaning and variety of the human experience. Philosophy is the systematic study of ideas and issue confronting humanity. NCTC offers three classes in Philosophy-Introduction to Philosophy, Ethics, and Logic.

PHIL 1301 - INTRODUCTION TO PHILOSOPHY

A study of major issues in philosophy and/or the work of major philosophical figures in philosophy. Topics in philosophy may include theories of reality, theories of knowledge, theories of value, and their practical applications.

PHIL 2303 - INTRODUCTION TO FORMAL LOGIC

The purpose of the course is to introduce the student symbolic logic, including syllogisms, propositional and predicate logic, and logical proofs in a system of rules.
