General Studies (AA) - Accounting, Business, Economics major

The following is a recommended sequence of courses for students intending on majoring in an Accounting/Business/Economics field at a Texas public university. The Associate of Arts (AA) General Studies degree is designed to transfer into a bachelor’s degree at a four-year public university in the state of Texas. The transfer university is the final authority on determining if all the courses within the NCTC Associate of Arts degree are transferable and applicable for an intended major, so students should consult with an advisor at the university level regarding all coursework to be completed at NCTC

Students placing at college preparatory levels will have additional courses to complete before taking eligible college-level courses in this sequence, and some courses may have pre-requisites; please check the course descriptions in the NCTC catalog. The number of courses taken each semester can also be adjusted as several core classes are offered during Summer and Mini-mesters; this sequence only maps out Fall and Spring semesters. Depending on how many credit hours you have already attempted, all courses on this pathway may not be eligible for Financial Aid through NCTC.
