CDEC 1317 - CHILD DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE TRAINING I

Based on the requirements for the Child Development Associate credential (CDA). Topics include CDA overview, observation skills, and child growth and development. The four functional areas of study are creative, cognitive, physical, and communication.

Upon completion, students will be able to:

  • Identify methods to advance physical and intellectual competence

  • Describe the CDA process; develop observation skills and summarize child growth and development

  • Utilize skills in writing, speaking, teamwork, time management, creative thinking, and problem solving.
