Human Resources Intern

Work Setting: Office
Role Overview:
- Recruitment & Hiring support
- Review job postings, observe resume screening, sit in on interviews as a note‑taker
- HR administration basics
- Learn how employee files are maintained; assist with document organization (non‑confidential items only)
- Policy & Compliance Exposure
- Review employee handbook, basic labor law posters, and compliance checklists
- HR Systems Overview
- Shadow use of the HRIS (employee records, timekeeping, onboarding workflows)
- Employee Engagement Activities
- Help prepare materials for orientations, trainings, or recognition activities
- Project-Based Task
- Complete a small project (e.g., draft an onboarding checklist)
- Career Learning & Reflection
- End-of-week debrief: discuss what they learned, ask questions, and describe HR career options
