NCTC’s Darrell Smith Named National Award Winner by US Naval Sea Cadet Corps

NCTC’s own Darrell Smith has been officially recognized by the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps as a national award winner!

Smith excelled through multiple levels of competition, including the unit, North Texas region, Northwest and South Central area, and ultimately the national stage, competing against cadets from across the United States and several territories.

“Everything he does, all the time, is above average,” said a representative of the North Texas unit. “Darrell is one of the most genuine and hardworking individuals we know, and we’re proud to have him on our team.”

LTJG Smith, currently the Dean of Industrial Technology for Career and Technical Education at North Central Texas College, will travel to Norfolk, Virginia, in June to accept his award.
