NCTC Music offers two band ensembles for wind and percussion students—the Wind Ensemble and the Jazz Band.

In Fall 2022, the Wind Ensemble course will meet at the Denton Campus (downtown) on Monday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. The NCTC Wind Ensemble will combine with the new community wind ensemble in Denton, the North Central Texas Winds. We will be dedicated to performing significant literature with musical integrity and artistic intent. This ensemble will be a "hybrid” ensemble in that it will serve both NCTC students and the surrounding community.
The Jazz Band performs a varied repertoire, including big band swing and contemporary jazz, through concerts on campus and at other venues.
Instrumental ensembles are open to all students with interest and experience, by audition. You do not need to be a “music major” to be a member of the group!

Instrumental Music Scholarships
Music Scholarships are available to all qualified students whether they are music majors or not. Award amounts vary from $100 to full tuition reimbursement.
