There are varying admission steps for the different programs NCTC offers. Select the program you wish to enroll in to ensure you get the most accurate admission steps.
GENERAL
ADMISSIONS
The application steps can vary depending where you’re starting. Select the option that most describes your academic standing and get the steps that best suit your needs!
NEW OR TRANSFER STUDENT
You are considered a new student if this will be your first time in college, you are a high school graduate, or if you have taken dual credit with NCTC. You are considered a transfer student if you have already attended or are currently attending classes at another university and wish to come to NCTC full or part-time.

New Students need to request official high school transcripts from your previous high school
If you earned a GED, request official GED scores
If you didn’t earn a GED or graduate from high school move on to the next step!
Transfer Students- If you have received college credit from another institution, request your official transcripts from all previous colleges/universities you have attended.
Electronic Official transcripts will only be accepted directly from the institution of education it is from. Transcripts can be sent to admittranscript@nctc.edu

If you are younger than 22, submit proof of a meningitis vaccination or exemption/waiver.
Returning STUDENT
To be classified as a returning student, you must have previously enrolled at NCTC after completing high school, discontinued your studies here, and not pursued education at any other college since your time at NCTC.

DUAL CREDIT
ADMISSION STEPS

All new Dual Credit students and parents should attend a face to face information session at the high school. If the high school does not have one scheduled, please review the information available in our online orientation. Students should only take Dual Credit courses if they are willing to put forth the extra effort, as these are true college classes at NCTC.

Complete an online application
Apply Texas will send an immediate email that your application has been forwarded to NCTC. If you do not get this email, go back to your application.
Additional email/s will follow from NCTC. These important emails contain valuable information: College ID, Password, information on missing documents.
Set up your NCTC student portal through Onelogin utilizing the credentials you receive in your email.
BE AWARE OF YOUR HIGH SCHOOL DEADLINE.

The Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0 (TSIA2) is NCTC’s preferred test for college readiness.
The TSIA2 is available at most high schools, check with your counselor.
If your high school does not offer the TSIA2, schedule an appointment online with the NCTC Testing Center. The TSIA2 Pre-Assessment Activity is required before testing at NCTC.
Testing should be completed well in advance of registration.

HEALTH SCIENCES

Submit your Transcripts
Take the TSI or get TSI Exemptions approved
Proof of Meningitis Vaccination

You should meet with your success coach/advisor and begin registering for the prerequisite and general academic (non-degree specific) courses if needed. See the your program’s degree plan.
Typically, you must make a grade of ‘C’ or better in your prerequisite courses to be considered for admission to most Health Science Programs.

Most Health Science Programs require you to attend an information session prior to admittance. These can be found on the event calendar or program page.
Check the program you wish to enroll in for specific requirements.

Schedule, register, and pay for for your TEAS test at the ATI/TEAS testing site then with the Testing Center on your campus. For more information go to nctc.edu/testing/ati or email corinthtesting@nctc.edu.
Prospective students are only allowed 2 TEAS attempts per calendar year and each attempt must be at least 90 days apart.
If you have a disability, contact the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) to obtain information about available testing accommodations and procedures.

Login to the MyNCTC
Under Student Services > Your program of choice > select Apply.
Fill out all sections the form and attach copies of your transcripts and your TEAS scores.
Submit the application.
Your application will then be evaluated to determine admission.

Check the most recent course schedule to find a course that interests you and fits your schedule!

You can register for a Continuing Education course online or by filling out the registration form and emailing it to ACE@nctc.edu
