NCTC Drama Presents: Next to Normal
Next to Normal is a rock musical that explores the impact of mental illness on a suburban family, focusing on Diana, a mother struggling with bipolar disorder and the lingering grief of a past trauma. As Diana's condition destabilizes, her husband and daughter grapple with their own emotional isolation and the toll of her treatments. The show powerfully examines themes of memory, loss, and the complexities of seeking "normalcy" in the face of psychological struggle.
