External Affairs
Provides leadership to initiatives that support the college in meeting community needs, expanding awareness of the college, and providing support for college programs and services.

Included in this department is the NCTC Foundation, NCTC Alumni and Friends, Grant Development and Management, Marketing and Public Relations, and the Small Business Development Center.
NCTC Foundation
Encourages, solicits, receives, and administers gifts, bequests of property, and funds for scholarships, programs, and activities that promote North Central Texas college student success and institutional excellence.
Scholarships
Oversees the scholarship process including promotion, selections, awarding and monitoring.
Alumni & Friends Association
Encourages graduates, former students, friends of the college, former faculty/staff and other college employees to stay in touch and to lend their continuing support of the educational, cultural, athletic and social programs of NCTC.
Grant Management
Pursues external funding that is congruent with the college’s goals and its long-range plans to provide innovative and responsive programming and quality education to its students.
Marketing & Public Relations
Promotes the college to the public and prospective students by broadcasting information about NCTC’s programs and services through print, broadcast, electronic, web-based and other media and serves as a resource for all departments of the college for promotional materials.
Small Business Development Center
A nationwide small business assistance network that links the resources of federal, state, and local government to those of colleges, universities, and the private sector to meet the specialized needs of small businesses.
