Trip Itinerary

  • Day 1: Fly overnight to England

  • Day 2: London – Meet your Tour Director at the airport in London. Take a walking tour of London, where you’ll see iconic sites such as the Strand, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, and Covent Garden. Enjoy an authentic fish and chips dinner.

  • Day 3: London – On your expertly guided tour of London, see sites such as Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, and Piccadilly Circus. You might even see the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace (if scheduled). – Visit St. Paul’s Cathedral, one of the most recognizable sights of London. Attend an evening theater performance.

  • Day 4: London – Full day to see more of London or visit Windsor and Stonehenge: Stonehenge stone circles; Windsor Castle, St. George’s Chapel; State Apartments.

  • Day 5: London – Visit the Tower of London. Take a Thames River cruise to Greenwich. – Visit the Royal Observatory. – Visit the National Maritime Museum.

  • Day 6: London – Full day to see more of London or Visit Oxford and Stratford-uponAvon: New College; Shakespeare’s Birthplace; Gardens at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage. - Or go to Scotland by train for a quick peek at a castle, etc.

  • Day 7: Full London free day

  • Day 8: Depart for home

Course Details

Course Pairing: British Literature I (Credit) or British Literature (Non-Credit, Continuing Education).

Students will study British Literature I in London during the Maymester semester. The first-half of the course will be in person, in country. The second-half will be online.

Course work will include reading and writing assignments as well as a travel journal/portfolio.

Students enrolled for class credit will have to pay tuition and course fees separately. Financial aid is available.

Study abroad experiences are open to everyone. Trips' costs include airfare, accommodations, breakfasts, several dinners, transportation, and entrance fees to all activities on the itinerary.

  • This tour is $3989 for participants ages 18-29. This covers round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations for 5 nights w/ private bathrooms, European breakfast and dinner daily, transportation, full-time tour director, 1 sightseeing tour led by a licensed local guide, 1 walking tour, entrance fees to the BSt. Paul’s Cathedral, theatre performance, Tower of London, Thames River cruise, Royal Observatory, and the National Maritime Museum.

    The cost does not include NCTC tuition, travel insurance, passport fees, tips, daily expenses, and lunches.

  • There are payment plans available. Students can pay month-to-month or in four more sizable payments. It's only $95 to sign up, and that goes toward the cost of the tour. If you sign up early, your payments are lower since you have longer to pay for the trip.

  • Don't worry if you're not at NCTC because you've transferred or graduated! You're still welcome to come. You can come without taking the course as a “friend” or “alumni” of NCTC.

  • Yes, but space is limited so sign up early and reserve your spot now.

  • We will accept enrollments until we fill up or through the fall, whichever comes first.

  • There will be an online course associated with the trip for students who want to earn credit.

  • Yes! By comparison, studying abroad at a 4-year university is usually $7000 - $10,000. So, this study abroad experience is a great deal and opportunity!
