On-Campus Housing at NCTC

Living in a residence hall provides students with opportunities to participate in a community, build positive relationships, develop communication skills, and enjoy life on campus.
NCTC provides on-campus housing for students in three residence halls on the Gainesville campus: Bonner Hall, The Bunkhouse, and Hays Hall. Housing priority is given to student-athletes and spaces are first come, first serve.
Students wanting to reside in housing must apply and be accepted to NCTC in order to access the housing application in MyNCTC. Students residing on campus during the spring and/or summer semesters are not guaranteed rooms for the fall semester.
Bonner Hall
Bonner Hall is a traditional residence hall that features double occupancy rooms and community bathrooms. Male and female wings are separated by a common lobby area. Guests of the opposite sex are permitted in the wings and rooms during visitation hours.
Each room in Bonner Hall is furnished with two twin beds, one dresser, one desk, and one chair.
The women’s second floor side of Bonner Hall features a laundry room, TV lounge, study room with computers and printers, and a kitchen with microwave, oven, stove, and sink. Laundry is an amenity included in the cost of housing (no coins needed).

The first-floor common areas feature two TV lounges, ping pong table, ice machine, and snack machine.
The Bunkhouse (Equine Hall)
The Bunkhouse is a double occupancy facility with a bathroom and shower in each room. Each room is assigned to all male or all female residents. Guests of the opposite sex are permitted in the rooms during visitation hours.
Each room in The Bunkhouse is furnished with two twin beds, two dressers, two desks, and two chairs.
A laundry room is located in the middle of the building. Laundry is an amenity included in the cost of housing (no coins needed).
Students living in The Bunkhouse can also access the amenities in Bonner Hall.
Hays Hall
Hays Hall is a suite-style facility that accommodates 27 students in a two-story structure. It features six 4-student suites and one 3-student suite. Each suite has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a common area. Each suite is assigned to all male or all female residents. Guests of the opposite sex are permitted in the suites during visitation hours.
Each suite room is furnished with two twin beds, two dressers, and two desks.
Students living in Hays Hall can also access the amenities in Bonner Hall.
How to Apply for Housing
Begin your journey with NCTC by applying to NCTC.
After you have been accepted to NCTC, you will be provided with your NCTC student email, ID number, and instructions on how to login to OneLogin, enabling you to apply for housing.
On a Mobile Device:
Launch the OneLogin Portal App.
Access the MyNCTC app.
Locate the triple bar icon located at the top left corner, then choose the Admissions Tab.
Tap the blue arrow at the bottom left corner to reveal additional options, then select the Housing Application from the left sidebar.
Scroll down to find the Housing Application link within the Housing Application section, and begin the application process.
On a laptop/desktop:
Visit the OneLogin Portal.
Open MyNCTC.
Select the Admissions tab.
Select the Housing Application option from the left sidebar.
Locate the Housing Application link within the Housing Application section in the top right corner, and begin the application process.

Apply to be a Resident Assistant
The Residence Life Staff is composed of the Manager of Residence Life and six Resident Assistants (RA).
Resident Assistants are trained student-staff members who:
Facilitate the social, academic, and personal adjustment of students to the residence hall and NCTC
Create activities for residents
Develop a sense of community among residents
Assist with on-call rotation once a week and a minimum of four weekends per semester
Serve as a positive role model
Enforce the rules and policies of Residence Life, Housing and Dining Services.
Act as a liaison between residents and NCTC Student Life Administration Team
Receive free housing and meals as well as a private room
The Resident Assistant Application remains open in order to fill possible vacancies during and prior to each semester.
To apply, go to MyNCTC. Select the “Admissions” tab, and select “NCTC Resident Assistant Application” and fill out the application.
The Manager of Residence Life is a full-time live-in staff member who supervises and oversees the daily operations of the residence halls. The Manager’s office is located on the second floor of Bonner Hall. Access to Bonner Hall is limited to residents only. Non-residents may call the office at (940) 668-4259 or email housing@nctc.edu.
Move In Tips
Move In Day
Please arrive at your assigned move in time. You will start the check in process in the lobby of Bonner Hall. After you check in, you will be given directions to your room/apartment. You will complete an inventory sheet and then receive your room key. Once you have your key, you can being to move items into your room.
All halls have convenient parking near the buildings. You are welcome to bring a dolly to help move your items.
All NCTC furniture located in the rooms must remain in the rooms at all times.

Suggested items to coordinate with your roommate:

Small refrigerator:
If each roommate has one, the refrigerators must each be under 800 watts and measure
18 x 18 x 24 inches or less.
If there is only one refrigerator in the room, it must be under 800 watts and measure 1
8 x 18 x 48 inches or less.Microwave: Only one per room. Must be under 800 watts.

Special Notes:
Extension cords without surge protectors will be confiscated, and you may be fined by NCTC and/or the Fire Department.
Cable television is only provided in the common area lounges.
NCTC Wireless Internet access is available in all the residence halls.

Insurance
NCTC encourages all students to have health insurance and renter’s insurance.Residence Life staff cannot dispense medication, and NCTC does not have a health clinic on-campus.

How much does it cost to live on campus per semester?
Fall 2025 & Spring 2026
Bonner Hall: $2,511 per semester
The Bunkhouse: $2,611 per semester
Hays Hall: $2,611 per semester
Rates includes 17 meal plan
Can I get a private room?
Private rooms are not offered at the beginning of the semester, because we have a wait list of students needing housing. Private rooms are offered on a first come, first serve basis throughout the semester once they become available. Having a private room during the fall semester does not guarantee a private room for the spring semester.

If your classes are held during the cafeteria's operating hours, please visit with the cafeteria manager to coordinate a pick-up meal. You must provide your class schedule as proof of conflicting times.
