Clinical Medical Assistant Program Overview
The Clinical Medical Assistant OSA program is an introduction to medical office operations, equipment, procedures, and human relations skills. With an emphasis on patient assessment, examination, and treatment as directed by a physician. This includes vital signs, collection and documentation of patient information, asepsis, office clinical procedures, and other treatments as appropriate for health care settings.
In this program you will learn medical terminology, phlebotomy, EKG, wound care, vital signs, sterile technology, medical procedures, OSHA guidelines, and more. This program requires 142 lecture hours program and 112 hours of clinical externship. Our classes are taught by experienced, professional nurses and lab technicians who are actively working in the healthcare industry. Tuition includes textbooks. Upon successful completion of this program, you may earn a priority point toward admission into an NCTC Nursing program.
