NCTC’s Honors Program is an opportunity for high-achieving students to earn honors credit in core curriculum courses taught by experienced and engaging faculty dedicated to honors education. Honors students have the opportunity to attend events on-campus and throughout the DFW Metroplex and perform service to the college and their communities.
PARTICIPATION IN HONORS
By participating in the Honors Program, Honors students are connected with other students on campus to develop a community of scholars. Students earn Honors designation on their transcripts and qualify for distinction at graduation. Honors Program Graduates receive a medallion at graduation, which is one of the highest honors an NCTC graduate can achieve.
TRANSFER TO UNIVERSITY
The Honors Program also helps students transfer to 4-year universities and connects them with service and leadership opportunities. All of these experiences make students more competitive when applying to selective undergraduate and graduate programs, when applying to other Honors programs, and when applying for scholarships.
