Success Stories
Rodolfo Gomez came to NCTC to pursue an Associate of Arts because he wanted to complete his education in the most affordable way possible and NCTC made it easy to stay connected and feel supported within the community.
Rodolfo now serves as a Senior Counselor at the University of North Texas, where he guides students in their pursuit of careers in the health professions.
Ashley originally started at NCTC in 2001 after graduating high school starting with basics and went down the path of a business degree. After a year of college she got a job working for a multinational retail corporation and later was promoted to an Asset Protection and Compliance Manager. After 16 years in that job Ashley decided to return to school to pursue her dream of becoming a Cosmetologist.
Mati Rigsby completed her Associate of Arts in General Studies with honors while attending NCTC.
Since graduating from NCTC, Mati earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health as well as a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Texas A&M University. She also completed her Doctor of Health Sciences degree from Liberty University. This education allowed Mati the opportunity to build a career supporting various nonprofit healthcare facilities as an emergency responder, researcher, grant writer, and epidemiologist. Mati currently has a role as an administrative coordinator for rural hospitals, including North Texas Medical Center in her hometown of Gainesville, Texas.
Rebecca Hammond received an Associate of Art in General Studies from NCTC in 2020. She was originally drawn to NCTC to get a jumpstart on her education through dual credit classes.
After graduating from NCTC, Rebecca transferred to the University of North Texas (UNT) from which she received a BS in Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology in 2022. Currently, she is a 3rd year Doctor of Audiology student at UNT.
