Payment and Drop Policies

  • You do NOT have to pay in full for a whole year of classes at one time! If awarded Financial Aid, your FAFSA is good for the entire academic year (Fall through the following Summer). You can also set up payment plans for each semester in which you enroll. Early registration and enrollment in your payment plan pays off!
    • Set up your Fall 2021 payment plan from April 19th-July 30th by paying only 10% of your Fall account balance*. Setting up this Fall payment plan from July 31st-September 7th requires paying 25% of your account balance*.
    • September 8th is the last day to set up a payment plan for Fall 2021 classes and enrolling at this later date will require paying 50% of your Fall account balance*.

*Percentage down is in addition to the $30 Herring Bank enrollment fee and a potential 2.45% convenience fee.

  • For students without established payment arrangements, NCTC does drop classes once a month prior to a semester starting (see schedule above) and then one final drop by the Official Date of Record.  Students’ classes may be dropped if they have a balance on their account that is not covered by an accepted Financial Aid award, scholarships, or an established payment plan.
    • Please maintain accurate contact information with the NCTC Admissions Office as well as setup and access your NCTC student email account in order to receive notifications regarding payment reminders, dropped courses, and other important registration updates.
  • Do not wait or rely on being dropped from classes by NCTC.
    • If you no longer want to be enrolled and are unable to drop classes online through MyNCTC, contact advising@nctc.edu for assistance with dropping classes or questions about your enrollment status.
    • Students are responsible for dropping unwanted courses prior to the first day of that semester in order to receive a full refund, per the Business Office Refund Policy.

How to Pay for Classes

Students can find their Account Balance/tuition and fees for any and all enrolled semesters by logging into MyNCTC, selecting the Student Services tab, and then choosing Financial from the left-hand menu. Acceptable methods of payment include:

To set up a payment plan or pay in full through MyNCTC add
  1. Log into OneLogin.
  2. Click MyNCTC. You should be already logged in.
  3. Select the Student Services tab.
  4. Click on Financial on the left-hand menu.
  5. In the Payment Options box on the right-hand side, select the semester/term from the drop-down menu to view your bill and payment options (if you accepted Financial Aid you will see that applied to your balance).
  6. You will now see links at the bottom of the page to pay in full or by payment plan. You can also pay in full at any NCTC Business Office in person or by phone.
If you are using Financial Aid add

Students who are utilizing Financial Aid for payment must have completed all requirements and accepted their awards through their Financial Aid portal, also found on the Financial page on MyNCTC. Pending Financial Aid award amounts must show on the student’s account balance in order to avoid being dropped per the schedule listed above.

Contact the Financial Aid Office at finaid@nctc.edu for questions about your aid.

If you are registering for multiple semesters add

Students taking full advantage of Lion365 and enrolling for more than one semester (Fall, Spring, and/or Summer) must set up a separate payment plan for each individual semester.

Make sure your NCTC OneLogin and student email account are set up so you receive important updates such as payment reminders or Financial Aid status.

For additional information about payment plans or student bills, please contact the Business Office.
