Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas Has funding available to pay 100% of your tuition costs for training programs offered at select community colleges.Training must lead to an industry recognized credential in a high-demand occupation and be on the Texas Workforce COmmission’s Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) in order to qualify.
Funding is available on a first come first served basis and expires on July 31, 2024 - DON’T WAIT TO APPLY!

Students in Gabrielle Fletcher’s “Technical Writing Class for the Medal of Honor” have created a book projects highlighting the stories of courage and sacrifice behind America’s highest military award.These creative student works provide a unique glimpse into the lives of extraordinary U.S. service members while paying meaningful tribute to true American heroes. It’s a can’t-miss opportunity to support NCTC students and honor our national heroes. Students will be available on April 23rd and 25th from 11-12:20 to share details and insight about their projects. We hope to see you at the NCTC library later this spring!

Coach Van Hedrick and the NCTC softball team won against Cisco on April 17th, 2024. This win has secured Coach Hedrick his 1,000th career win.
Van Hedrick has been the only head softball coach in the 25-year history of the North Central Texas College program. After serving as the assistant baseball coach at NCTC for several years, he started the softball program from scratch in 1999.
Since the inception of the program, Coach Hedrick has made sure his team is actively involved in the community. Whether it be volunteering with a community playground build, reading to kindergarten students at local schools, working at a hot-air balloon festival to benefit a local hospital, or cleaning up a church playground, the Lady Lions softball team is always looking for ways to help out the community. Congratulation Coach Hedrick!
In coordination with Cooke County, the Cities of: Callisburg, Gainesville, Lindsay, Muenster, Valley View, Towns of: Oak Ridge, Roadrunner, Independent School Districts (ISDs) of: Callisburg, Era, Gainesville, Lindsay, Muenster, Sivell’s Bend, Valley View, Walnut Bend, and North Central Texas College, are updating the Cooke County Hazard Mitigation Plan.
Upon visiting NCTC’s main campus in Gainesville, TX, you may notice work on the long-awaited Medal of Honor Museum construction appears to be nearing completion. Here are some things you should know!
The North Central Texas College Foundation held its annual Starlite Gala Saturday, April 6th, 2024, honoring individuals and organizations that have given of their time and resources to further NCTC and their local communities. With this year being NCTC’s 100th Anniversary, the event honored donors, students, and community members who have been pivotal in the college’s success.
