Show Tunes and Thrift Shops- Fun and Free Community Event

On Tuesday, April 19th, 2022 NCTC will be hosting an event called Show Tunes & Thrift Shops in the First State Bank Performing Arts Center located at 1525 W California St, Gainesville, TX.

Show Tunes & Thrift Shops is a free public event that will consist of light-hearted fun, live music, and a colorful variety of thrifted costumes inspired by our favorite show tunes! This is a community event with members of the committee from all parts of Cooke County participating. Each committee member hand-picked their models, outfits, and three show tunes that will be performed while their models are on stage. All of the costumes the models will be wearing are thrifted, and are intended to match the costumes worn by the original show tune performers.

Apart from the thrifted fashion show, the live music that attendees will be hearing will be performed by none other than NCTC’s own Chancellor, Dr. Brent Wallace. Each showtune, like the outfits, were picked by the participants. The theme for tonight was meant to be a creative twist on something we’re familiar with. This will surely make for an entertaining evening filled with laughs and a renewed appreciation for the arts.

Doors will open at 6:30pm, and the program will start at 7:00pm. Join NCTC in a fun night of show tunes and a completely thrifted fashion show!
