Completion Center
The Completion Center provides a variety of services for first-time in college students. These services include academic success coaching, goal setting, course planning, success skill workshops, leadership training, and professional skill development for all new college students.
Success Coaching
Success coaching is all about developing your strengths, confidence, and success. The Completion Center is here to partner with you on your educational journey. A team wouldn’t play without a coach- so don’t navigate college without a success coach!
A coach will partner with you to:
Develop and manage your short and long term educational goals
Improve your time management skills
Study smarter with effective reading and study techniques
Improve test-taking strategies
Avoid procrastination and stress with goal setting strategies
Find community resources to support your short & long term goals
Communicate effectively with your professors
Completion Center Success Coaches
We teach NCTC 1001
First Year Experience Course (NCTC 1001) is a required non-credit, 4-week course designed to provide you with the tools needed to persist and succeed at NCTC.
Career Services
Career Services and the Completion Center work closely together to guide students toward success in job training and job placement. A Career Readiness Specialist can assist you with career exploration and development, and the connection to your major or field of study.
