CARES Team, Campus Assessment Response Evaluatoin Services

North Central Texas College cares about our students’ academic success, as well as their emotional and physical well-being. The NCTC CARES Team promotes a safe learning environment for students, faculty, and staff and is committed to taking a proactive approach in helping our students succeed.

Contact your NCTC CARES campus contact or complete the Reporting/Referral Form online. The CARES team is comprised of staff from various departments, including Counseling & Advising, Student Conduct, Campus Police, and the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD).

North Central Texas College encourages all individuals experiencing sexual misconduct:  sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking to report acts of sexual misconduct.

In addition, procedures have been designed to inform individuals about their right to file criminal charges as well as the availability of counseling, health, and, mental health; as well as additional remedies to prevent contact between a complainant and a respondent, such as housing, academic, transportation and working accommodations, if reasonably available. The college will make such accommodations, if the victim requests them and if they are reasonably available, regardless of whether the complainant chooses to report the crime to the NCTC Campus Safety of Public Safety or local law enforcement. 

Any incidents or concerns regarding Sexual Misconduct should be reported immediately, even if the person(s) concerned about or harmed by the misconduct are unsure about pursuing a formal complaint.
