Choir

NCTC Music offers two ensembles for vocalists - College Singers and College Ensemble.

College Singers is an auditioned group of about 40 students, devoted to the rehearsal, study, and performance of a wide variety of vocal literature. Concerts are themed around standard literature, pop, Broadway, folk, and more! The Ensemble, which is limited to 12 singers, is auditioned from the College Singers and also performs a wide variety of literature. This smaller group was created in order to facilitate travel, as they represent NCTC at special events in our area.

Both groups have won a large and enthusiastic audience, singing to crowds who attend “sold out” choir concerts. The choir travels periodically, and our students have performed recently at Walt Disney World and as part of a Two-Year College Festival Chorus in Carnegie Hall, NYC.

Choir is open to all students with interest and experience, by audition. You do not need to be a music major to be a member of either group! Rehearsals are 2:00 - 3:20 (College Singers), and 3:30 - 4:50 (Ensemble) on Tuesday and Thursday at the Gainesville Campus.
