NCTC has partnered with the Texas Workforce Commission to develop and oversee an apprenticeship program specifically to train individuals like you for entry and advancement in the Plumbing or Electrical trade. From basic job-site safety to tool use, understanding drawings and communicating with peers and customers, this is the hands-on training that helps you get the certifications and training that can provide not just jobs but better pay and lifelong careers.
Eligibility Requirements
Students 18 and over:
US citizen or certified to work in the US
If male, must be registered for the US Selective Service
This program is fully funded by a grant from the Texas Workforce Commission so there is no cost for participants.
NCTC’s Career Services staff will even help you with connecting to hiring companies to maximize your newly acquired skills. Seems simple enough, so take the first steps to “Better Jobs, Better Pay and Lifelong Careers”.

OSHA-10 Safety Certification
Arc Flash NFPA 70e Certification
TDLR Texas Department of Licensing Electrical Apprentice License
Plumbing Skills Training

PHCC Academy Certification
Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors
OSHA-10 Safety Certification
TDLR Texas Department of Licensing Plumbing Apprenticeship License
