NCTC celebrates graduates

North Central Texas College hosted two commencement ceremonies on December 15th at the Gainesville campus to honor the Fall 2023 graduates.

More than 400 students applied for graduation at NCTC this fall and 256 participated in the graduation ceremonies.

Nine students graduated Summa Cum Laude with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 4.00. They included Reghan A. Labarbera, Karri Cox, Aidan Philip Wiedemer, Colton Lee Jack, Breanna Hill, Danielle Jolivette, Hillary Rose Klement, Asmita Panthi, and Shannon Nicole Rush.

Six other students graduated Magna Cum Laude with a GPA of 3.90-3.99. They included Ryan Costas Williams, Katherine Frederick, Eddie Mejia, Bobby D. Smith Jr., Hunter Ryan Heuman, and Keren Tshamala Mushiya.

Graduates received their diplomas from NCTC Chancellor Dr. Brent Wallace. The commencement address was given by NCTC Faculty of the Year James Jones. To go back and watch any part of NCTC’s fall graduation, visit nctc.edu/graduation.
