Goldsworthy establishes endowed scholarship for Red River Promise

Jim and Jennifer Goldsworthy, of Gainesville, Texas, have established the Jim & Jennifer Goldsworthy Red River Promise Scholarship fund at North Central Texas College with their donation to the NCTC Foundation this week.

“Serving on the NCTC Foundation Board, I’ve seen firsthand how scholarships can change the lives of students and change the culture in our community,” said Goldsworthy. “My wife and I are excited to endow this scholarship and be a part of shaping the future of our local workforce.”

The Red River Promise was established in 2021, in partnership with NCTC, ISDs in Cooke and Montague counties, Graham ISD, and several universities. Graduating seniors from the 14 promise schools, including all high schools in Cooke County, are eligible to receive varied support services and last-in scholarships to cover tuition and fees for up to two years or 60 credits at NCTC.
