INMT 1345 - COMPUTER NUMERICAL CONTROL

A study of numerical controlled machine operations in a CAM/CIM environment.  Emphasis on standard and computer numerical controlled (CNC) procedures for planning, preparing, and operating computer assisted machines.

Upon completion, students will be able to:

  • Summarize the history of numerical control

  • Determine the proper tooling, programming, and setup of a specific numerical control operation

  • Employ programming for the appropriate machine operations

  • Integrate the computer-controlled system with other procedures
