Overview of mechanical principles used in automated manufacturing.  Includes common measurement methods, engineering drawings, and mechanical methods used in automated manufacturing.

Upon completion, students will be able to:

  • Apply measurement techniques.

  • Interpret engineering drawings.

  • Identify mechanical systems and equipment.

  • Identify safety tools and maintenance issues.

  • Demonstrate material assembly.

  • Describe operations and applications of pneumatic and hydraulic controls.
