Child Development Program

Demand for child care professionals is growing throughout North Texas. Give a child a promising start in their education through your role as a qualified child care provider.

The Child Development program is geared toward the care and education of infants to age eight-mainly the preschool years. It is for students who want to work in daycares, preschools, or offer home care to infants and toddlers.

Level 1 Certificate can be completed in as little as 2 semesters.

Associate of Applied Science Degree can be completed in as little as 2 years.

Students will experience:

  • Early exposure to the classroom
  • Practical real world experience
  • Practicum or field experience in a daycare setting as capstone experience

Students will qualify to take the Child Development Associate National Credential Exam after completing the Child Development AAS program.
