Springtime is Prime Time to learn something new

Angel Fitzpatrick | Jan 16, 2019

Ready to learn something new? Adult and Continuing Education (ACE), the non-credit division of North Central Texas College, is proud to announce the release of its spring Prime Timers brochure.  Free (unless otherwise noted) to Cooke County residents who are 62 and up, the spring Prime Timers brochure is chock full of fun, interactive and educational courses.

Eligible Cooke County residents can choose from courses in 11 categories, including arts and crafts, culinary, fitness, languages, computers and more. Beekeeping is back by popular demand with two course offerings – Introduction to Beekeeping and Beehive Health, Nutrition, and Pest Basics.

ACE invites the public to a Meet and Greet with Questions and Answers on Thursday, January 24th, from 1 – 4 p.m. on the Gainesville campus in Building 200. The ACE staff and instructors will be on hand to assist with any questions and help with registration. Refreshments also will be served.

As part of its mission to be responsive to the needs of the community, ACE welcomes ideas for future Prime Timers’ classes and encourages Cooke County Prime Timers to get involved and do more than just attend a class – teach a class.
