Spring 2018 scholarship deadline approaching for NCTC

Elizabeth F. Dieter | Sep 13, 2017

The deadline at North Central Texas College to apply for scholarships for the Spring 2018 semester is October 15, 2017.

Scholarship amounts vary from $500 to $2,000 per academic year and all NCTC students are encouraged to apply.

New and prospective students must apply for admission, activate their Lion Pride Email and sign up for a scholarship account to complete the scholarship application. Current students simply need to activate their Lion Pride Email, if they have not already, and sign up for a scholarship account.

There are many different types of scholarships, including Dual Credit, Academic Transfer, Full-Time/Part-Time, and more. You can also qualify for scholarships specific to your major.

NCTC has awarded over 19,000 scholarships, valued at over $7 million since 1986. These scholarships are funded by individuals, corporations, and community organizations and foundations.

If you need assistance with completing the scholarship application, you can attend a Scholarship Application Workshop on one of the NCTC campuses. This workshop will be held on the Flower Mound campus on Wednesday, September 20, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and on the Corinth campus, Tuesday, September 26 from 9 a.m. – 10:50 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The workshop will be held on the Bowie campus on Monday, September 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on the Graham campus, Wednesday, September 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

You can also attend on the Gainesville Campus on Monday, September 25, from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

If you cannot attend one of these application workshops, you can go online to view the Scholarship Application Guide, which provides step-by-step instructions. You can find this at scholarships.nctc.edu.
