Jonathan Dillenberg

Jonathan Dillenberg“In studying, I have found refuge from the struggles of daily life.”

Since Jonathan Dillenberg’s mother was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, everything has become more difficult for his family. Being able to immures himself in lectures, discussions, homework, etc., even for just a few hours, “allows him to take a break from his daily worries.”

Jonathan enjoys the break that attending class provides him. “In studying, I have found refuge from the struggles of daily life,” said Jonathan.

Without NCTC, Jonathan said he “would end up working full time and not pursuing what he loves.”

After NCTC, Jonathan plans to transfer to the University of North Texas, to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree.

“My mother’s fight is not just hers, and this battle has made me who I am,” said Jonathan. “There are moments where It feels as there is nothing more you can do, but do not give up hope. Continue to finish the fight and control what you can.”
