Get Involved

There are several ways for the campus community to get involved.

  • Volunteer at our mobile food pantry
  • Become a member of an Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary, employee-led groups that foster a diverse, inclusive campus community aligned with NCTC's mission of student success and institutional excellence for a specific marginalized group of employees, students and the community; these include:
    • Alliance Against Injustices (AAI)
      Fosters a community for individuals who identify as Black, African American and/or African descent. AAI serves as an advocate and resource for advancing the academic, professional, social and cultural growth and development of faculty, staff, and students through outreach, net­working, community service and enrichment programs.
    • ALMA (Advocacy, Leadership, Mentorship, Action)
      Addresses systematic oppression by empowering, and bringing hope to our undocumented, immigrant and Latinx communities by building cultural awareness, educating, establishing pathways to success, and providing holistic support. 
    • Pride Education Advocacy and Knowledge
      Fosters student engagement, inclusion and institutional excellence by focusing on diversity and representation of the LGBTQ+ population in all aspects of the campus community. 
    • Women Empowerment
      To Be Determined

Courageous Conversations

EDI is leading a district-wide collaborative effort with campus representatives to have courageous conversations. Through dialogue about our individual experiences, we will strive to understand and minimize biased and divisive beliefs for the benefit of our campus community and beyond.
