Get Involved

There are several ways for the campus community to get involved.

  • Volunteer at our mobile food pantry
  • Become a member of an Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) or form a new group. ERGs are voluntary, employee-led groups that foster a diverse, inclusive, and caring campus community aligned with NCTC's mission of student success through institutional excellence for a specific underrepresented group of employees, students and the community; these include:
    • Alliance Against Injustice (AAI)
Fosters a community for individuals who identify as Black, African American and/or African descent. AAI serves as an advocate and resource for advancing the academic, professional, social and cultural growth and development of faculty, staff, and students through outreach, networking, community service and enrichment programs.
    • ALMA (Advocacy, Leadership, Mentorship, Action)
Addresses systematic oppression by empowering, and bringing hope to our undocumented, immigrant and Latinx communities by building cultural awareness, educating, establishing pathways to success, and providing holistic support.
    • PEAK (Pride Education Advocacy and Knowledge)
Fosters student engagement, inclusion and institutional excellence by focusing on diversity and representation of the LGBTQ+ population in all aspects of the campus community.
  • Participate in a Courageous Conversation. EDI is leading a district-wide collaborative effort with campus representatives to have courageous conversations. Through dialogue about our individual experiences, we will strive to understand and minimize biased and divisive beliefs for the benefit of our campus community and beyond.
  • Watch for announcements on upcoming EDI events, and plan to participate!
