Early Alert

If you are concerned about a student's academic performance (excessive absences, poor test grades, etc.), and feel this student could benefit from talking with an advisor or counselor about available on-campus support services, then please take the time to submit an Early Alert through your MyNCTC course roster. Just follow these Early Alert instructions and the Counseling and Testing Office will contact every student submitted in order to discuss strategies for successful course completion. If you are concerned about other types of student behaviors, such as those that are disruptive, disturbing, or indicating that the safety or welfare of a student is at risk, then please visit our CARES Team in order to submit a referral or locate the number of a CARES Team representative on your campus.

Classroom Presentations

Do you feel your whole class could benefit from information on Learning Styles, Time Management, Motivation, or Test Anxiety? Then invite the Counseling and Testing staff into your classroom for a presentation on one of these or other related topics. Just complete this Presentation Request Form!

Make Up Exams

For students who miss classroom tests, makeup exams are administered by the Counseling and Testing Center on an appointment basis and are NOT proctored. Tests are to be brought into or taken out of the Counseling and Testing Center only by NCTC faculty or staff. Students are required to schedule an appointment in advance, and to have picture identification in order to test.

Instructors Sending Tests

Please complete the following form and submit to the Counseling and Testing Center at your campus (in person, via e-mail, or through the courier). Be very specific regarding the materials a student may use to complete your test. Only the items specified by you will be allowed in the Testing Center.

You may send us an email to test one student, but if you have multiple students you need to send us the paper copy with the Testing Referral form on each copy of the test with the student's name and testing information (time allowed, materials, etc.).

Testing Cover Sheet All Campuses

Corinth OSD Testing Cover Sheet Office for Students with Disabilities*

* Please note there is a separate form to be completed at the Corinth campus for students receiving testing accommodations through the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD)

Students in Corinth who qualify for testing accommodations will schedule their testing in Room 170, and instructors will leave exams in this office as well, rather than with the Corinth Counseling and Testing Center.

However, if you are an instructor at any campus, and have questions about providing accommodations and how students qualify for services through the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD).

Instructors Returning Tests

Please pick up completed tests from the Counseling and Testing Center (or the Office for Students with Disabilities in Corinth) during normal business hours, or we will send the completed tests via NCTC courier to any other NCTC campus. Tests will be sent to the instructor at the campus they specify. If an instructor does not have an office on an NCTC campus, or is not able to come on campus to pick up a completed test, then they can request that their exams be scanned and e-mailed directly to them. No tests will be faxed, however, in order to maintain the security of the completed exam.
