NCTC COVID-19 Reporting


North Central Texas College understands the importance of COVID-19 testing and sharing the data with the NCTC community. The COVID-19 cases and testing reported to NCTC will be posted here each week, though the data is monitored daily by our administration and public safety team. We thank you for helping to keep NCTC healthy and doing your part to keep yourself and others safe.

Monthly historical cases* self-reported of COVID-19 among NCTC Faculty, Staff and Students

*Data represents self-reported cases of COVID-19, as reported to North Central Texas College by students, faculty, and staff through the Office of Emergency Management. This section displays new self-reported positive cases per month starting 3/31/2020 as indicated by positive results provided by students, faculty, and staff tested at facilities located in their local county and public health authority.

This section displays selected data points drawn from the Texas Department of State Health Services COVID-19 Dashboard related to Counties with an NCTC Campus, including the total number of cases per day and fatalities in the NCTC Service Area (Denton, Cooke, Young, and Montague Counties).


The NCTC COVID-19 Reporting Dashboard is the result of collaborative efforts by NCTC, Cooke County Emergency Management, Texas Department of State Health Services, Denton County Public Health, Graham Regional Medical Center. Data reflects all test results confirmed or self-reported as of the timestamp shown at the bottom of the dashboard.

Notifications to the College Community

3/23/2021 - Notification of Positive Case on Campus add

March 23, 2021

Dear North Central Texas College Community,

Please be advised that North Central Texas College was notified that an individual who tested positive for COVID-19 visited the Gainesville  campus 3/23/2021. As an immediate response to protect the health and safety of our college, the individual has a directive to stay home for a 14-day quarantine period. This serves as notification to the college community in addition to a separate notification sent to all that came in contact with the individual.


In addition to all existing social distancing, advanced cleaning, and face mask requirements at NCTC, we are also taking the following steps (as applicable):

  • Instituting remote policies for those in contact with the individual.
  • Further sanitization and cleaning with EPA-registered disinfectants for use against COVID-19.

We ask that you abide by the following federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines to protect your health and those around you:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Follow all recommendations provided by the CDC here:www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community.

3/3/2021 - Notification of Positive Case on Campus add

March 3, 2021

Dear North Central Texas College Community,

Please be advised that North Central Texas College was notified that an individual who tested positive for COVID-19 visited the Flower Mound campus 3/2/2021. As an immediate response to protect the health and safety of our college, the individual has a directive to stay home for a 14-day quarantine period. This serves as notification to the college community in addition to a separate notification sent to all that came in contact with the individual.

We have immediately assessed this situation and contacted all those who came in contact with the individual via NCTC email.
