Cosmetology AAS Degree

Associate of Applied Science Degree

The Cosmetology Associate of Applied Science Degree is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills directly applicable to a career in Cosmetology.

Career Concentrations

The program has three tracks from which students may choose.

  • The first track is a concentration in Cosmetology Business with a focus on courses that will prepare students for going into self-employment or starting their own businesses after receiving their Cosmetology Operator license.
  • The second track is a more advanced concentration in Cosmetology skills. These courses will allow the student to further advance their skills and allow more salon experience and client interaction before seeking employment.
  • The third track is a focus on barbering, allowing students the opportunity to become dual licensed.  Once the student receives a Cosmetology Operator license, he or she may apply for this track as a pathway to receive their Barber license.
