Summer time is around the corner and so are our Youth Riding camps. There will be a daily western riding session for each child age 8-15 in an appropriate experience based riding level group. Students will also study horse theory, parts of the horse, parts of the saddle, equine nutrition, and much more.

Snacks will be provided for your child.

Please have them dress in horse appropriate clothing including long pants and shoes with a heel or riding boots. All campers are required to wear a certified riding helmet. We recommend that students provide their own. The college has a limited number to borrow.

Sessions

Each camp is divided into two sessions, each with a different emphasis.

Session I = Introduction of walking and trotting. Emphasis on hands, seat and legs.
Time: 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM

Session II = Very confident walking, somewhat confident trotting - may have opportunity to lope. Emphasis on correct seat position.
Time: 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM

Cost is $195 per camp. All camps are limited to 8 campers
