The Agriculture programs at NCTC grant students opportunities to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to enter today's agricultural industry and an ideal foundation for transferring to a four-year institution.
All our degree programs teach innovation, globalization, critical thinking, diversity, leadership, and problem solving through hands-on experiences at our on-site facilities.
Within the department are four disciplines students may choose.
Transfer Students
Agriculture For Transferring Students
The Associate of Arts degree or Associate of Science degree with a major emphasis in Agriculture prepares students for transferring to four-year universities in pursuit of their bachelor's degrees.
Equine Science
Equine Science
The Equine Science program's goal is to ensure students a well-rounded, quality education that offers both instruction and hand-on experiences that mirror real-world requirements to prepare graduates to be assets in the Equine Industry.
Farm & Ranch
Farm & Ranch Management
This program is designed for students who plan to pursue careers in the farming and ranching industry. The curriculum focuses on practical and educational experiences in animal science, beef cattle production, pasture management, livestock business, animal nutrition, and computer applications specific to agriculture.
Horticulture
Horticulture
Our Horticulture program provides a broad, technical education in the field, emphasizing practical knowledge that prepares students to work in multiple facets of the industry, including landscaping, sustainability, floristry, horticulture crop production, and greenhouse management.
