Welcome to Visual and Performing Arts at NCTC!
Associate of Arts Degree pathways are available to students planning to major in Drama, Music, or Visual Arts at a Texas public university. Visual and Performing Arts classes are mainly taught at the First State Bank Center for Performing Arts on the Gainesville Campus.

Drama
The Drama Department prepares students for careers and degrees in acting, directing, scenic and costume design, and dramaturgy.

Music
The Music Department prepares students for degrees and careers in music performance, education, history, theory, and composition. Music features performing ensembles along with an array of music classes integrated into our Field of Study in Music curriculum.

Visual Arts
The Visual Arts Department prepares students for degrees and careers in drawing, painting, design, ceramics, photography, and digital art.
DUE TO COVID-19 AND FOR OUR COMMUNITY'S HEALTH AND SAFETY, NO ON-CAMPUS PERFORMANCES ARE SCHEDULED AT THIS TIME.
First State Bank Center for Performing Arts
First State Bank Center for the Performing Arts (FSBCPA) at North Central Texas College, is a landmark structure for both the Gainesville Campus and the local community. But what goes on inside the building that is most exciting for college faculty and staff, both current and prospective students, and local musicians, singers, actors and patrons of the arts.
"Finally, with quality facilities for the teaching of both the performing and visual arts in place, our campus can truly become the cultural center of the community," - Dr. Eddie Hadlock, former NCTC interim president
