Loaned Executives are dedicated members from Denton County businesses practicing leadership and relationship management through valuable hands-on experience in the community. NCTC “loaned” Eggert on a part-time basis to act as a community spokesperson and to assist other Denton County organizations and businesses with their United Way employee giving campaigns.

Each month the class had different workshops covering networking, team building, delegation, engagement, project management, having crucial conversations and social styles.

“I have lived in Denton County my whole life and had no idea of the impact United Way has on our community,” said Eggert. “Through this program I learned about the vast services provided and other organizations United Way supports through visiting partner agencies like CASA, Children’s Advocacy Center, and Friends of the Family. We were given several opportunities to volunteer, including planning and implementing a fundraiser from beginning to end. This experience was not only a reminder of how fortunate I am to have been given so many opportunities in my life, but also helped shape the way I interact with people and approach different situations in my personal and professional life.”
