NCTC offers ESL classes

The Adult and Continuing Education (ACE) department of North Central Texas College invites adults in Cooke and Denton Counties to sign up for English as a Second Language (ESL) classes.  Designed for students whose primary language is other than English, ACE’s beginner, intermediate and advanced ESL classes include industry-related reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.  

In addition, the ACE ESL programs place emphasis on high-frequency vocabulary and phonics, refining oral and written production and listening skills for enhanced job productivity and increasing control of the English sound system. Classes will run twice weekly starting at the end of January.

Residents of Cooke County can take these classes free of charge and are invited to attend an assessment and registration session Tuesday, January 22nd, at 6 pm at the Adult and Continuing Education (ACE) department of North Central Texas College, 1525 W. California St., Building 200, in Gainesville.

Those interested in attending in Denton County are required to attend an assessment and registration session January 19thor January 22ndat 9 a.m. at the ACE office, located at 1404 N.
