Argyle United Methodist Church will host their 3rd Annual Casting for a Cause fishing event on Saturday, March 30, 2019.

This annual event benefits the students of North Central Texas College by providing scholarship opportunities for students with financial need in Denton County. Thanks to the sponsors, participants, and volunteers, Casting for a Cause has raised over $9,000 in its first two years. This year, the goal is set at $8,000.

“We are super excited to host the 3rd Annual Casting for a Cause here at Argyle UMC,” said Argyle UMC Event Director, Brad Cozart. “The opportunity to teach our children to fish, all while raising money to provide NCTC scholarships and support the Denton Wesley Foundation in closing the food insecurity gap among college students here in north Texas makes for both an engaging and impactful event for the community.”

There are several sponsorship opportunities available to help support this event. Participants can also register their children for the event online at cfac.nctc.edu. If you have a rod and real, bring them, as only a limited number will be available. Bait will be provided.

The event will be held at Argyle UMC, located at 9033 Fort Worth Dr., Argyle, TX and will run from 8 am to 11 am. Children ages four through 12 are invited to participate.
