North Central Texas College Honors Program student Mary Daub recently presented her Honors research at the Collin College Undergraduate Interdisciplinary Student Research Conference on the school's Spring Creek campus.

Daub's research focused on Emerging Technologies in Hospitality Management and was an outgrowth of her work in her BCIS class with Linda Janoe. Daub looked at the ways in which social media, telecommunications, and internet access are changing how people interact with each other and the challenges (and opportunities) that technological innovations are presenting for those in hospitality management.

Because of her outstanding work in the Honors program and in her courses at NCTC, Daub has been accepted into the Honors College at UNT and will begin there in the fall.
