NCTC Communication instructor Dianne Gravley will present Let Me Tell You a Story: Power of the Personal Narrative and The Power of our Stories to Shape our Lives Wednesday, April 23 at 3 p.m., in Room 205 on the NCTC Flower Mound campus.

Gravley will discuss three case studies from her work in the field of personal narrative and identity. The narratives include a woman who was diagnosed with bone cancer and was told she had only months to live; a stripper who worked for Jack Ruby; and whistleblowers in the public school system.

Professor Gravley earned her M.S. in Communication Studies at the University of North Texas and her B.S. in English and Speech Communication from Texas A&M. She teaches on the Flower Mound, Corinth and Gainesville campuses. The public is invited to attend this free lecture and refreshments will be served.
