Davison named National Softball Player of the Week

North Central Texas College first baseman Molly Davison has been named the OC Sports NJCAA National Softball Player of the Week for her performances in games played from March 31 to April 6.

Davison, a sophomore from Oklahoma City, went 9 for 12 at the plate (.750 average) with a double, a triple, three home runs, 16 RBI, three walks and six runs scored. The Lady Lions went 4-0 during the week with wins over Cisco Junior College and Weatherford College.

Davison hit for the cycle on April 2 during a 14-12 win over Weatherford.

For the season, Davison leads the team with a .467 batting average. He is also the team leader in doubles (11), home runs (9) and RBIs (54).

She has already signed to play at Lubbock Christian University next fall.
