Nursing students taking donations for benefit garage sale

GAINESVILLE - The Student Nursing Association (SNA) at North Central Texas College will be taking donations starting Monday for a garage sale to benefit Abigail's Arms Family Crisis Center.

The garage sale will be held April 13 at Lions Fieldhouse on the NCTC Gainesville campus, but several drop off days have been scheduled for the public to bring by items they would like to donate to the sale.

Items can be dropped off at the NCTC Gainesville campus in room 310 on Monday, April 1 from 9 to 11 a.m. and 4 to 6:30 p.m., from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on April 2, from 9 to 11 a.m. on April 8, and from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on April 9. In addition, donated items can be brought to Lions Fieldhouse from 10 a.m. to noon on April 12. Large items can be dropped off at Lions Fieldhouse from 6:45 to 8 a.m. on April 13.

Items that the SNA will be accepting include working small appliances and electronics, outdoor items and toys, houseware and kitchenware, exercise equipment and tools, entertainment items including movies and books, baby or kids clothing and shoes, baby strollers, baby swings, baby playpens, baby bottles, jeans or shoes in good condition, collectables, clothing accessories including purses and wallets, jewelry, and small furniture.

Items that will not be accepted include anything that is not in working condition, box or tube televisions or monitors, adult/teen non-jean clothing, undergarments and socks, used mattresses, baby cribs or baby mattresses and car seats.

Items that are larger than one person can move should not be brought until the morning of the sale.
