Honors lecture to feature Gulf War veteran

GAINESVILLE - North Central Texas College's Honors program will host a special lecture during Medal of Honor week in Gainesville.

Lt. Col. Kent D. Johnson (USAF Ret) will present, "The Original U.S. Gulf War: The Impact of The Vietnam War, Politics and Modern Technology on Achieving Stunning Battlefield Successes."

The lecture is scheduled for 11 a.m., on Thursday, April 11 in Room 2015 of the First State Bank Center for the Performing Arts.

Johnson is a former A-10 and F-15E fighter pilot, Gulf War I forward air controller and political-military adviser to the Secretary of the Air Force.
