Learning Styles

The educational theory of Learning Styles is based on the idea that individuals think and learn in different ways. Identifying your personal learning style and developing study methods which strengthen the way you learn may improve your academic performance.

A large number of learning style surveys are available on the Internet. Educational theorists who develop these surveys use different criteria for defining individual learning styles and/or types. The sites listed below offer information about learning styles and furnish surveys to assess individual leaning styles. You may wish to use these sites to identify your personal learning style and develop study strategies to complement your learning style. These sites have not been thoroughly reviewed nor are they endorsed by North Central Texas College. These sites are provided for the purpose of personal exploration and discovery.
