ANGEL (A New Global Environment for Learning) Learning Suite is the Learning Management System (LMS) used at NCTC through summer 2014. All students enrolled in an online or hybrid course delivered in ANGEL must complete the free ANGEL
Orientation (OLOR0109). OLOR0109 covers online
student success, technology requirements, and how to navigate ANGEL. Once you successfully complete OLOR0109 in ANGEL, you do not have to take it again. You must complete the orientation to gain access to your online and hybrid courses. Please note that College 101 and OLOR0109 are separate, unrelated requirements.
If you are a new NCTC student, the orientation course is available after your ANGEL account is created, approximately 24 hours after you enroll. If you are registering for courses online, enroll in the ANGEL Orientation using MyNCTC.
Students must complete the orientation to access their online and hybrid courses in ANGEL.

Some online and hybrid courses are delivered in the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) in spring and summer 2014. All online and hybrid students must complete the free Canvas Orientation for Online Students (CANV0109) before they can access their courses in Canvas. Students that have already completed OLOR0109 must complete CANV0109 before course access is available. Once you successfully complete CANV0109, you do not have to take it again. Online and hybrid course access is unavailable prior to the first day of the semester, even if you complete CANV0109 beforehand.
If you are registering for courses online, enroll in CANV0109 using MyNCTC. Also please note that College 101 is a separate, unrelated requirement for new students. If you are a new NCTC student, CANV0109 is available after your Canvas account is created, approximately 24 hours after you enroll. If you are a returning student, CANV0109 is available in Canvas within 4-6 hours of enrollment.
